Dr. Stephen Kriger is a foot and ankle specialist in the San Diego area. He was born and raised in Memphis, TN, a city that instilled in him a love of blues and barbeque. After earning psychology and neuroscience degrees from Indiana University, he spent several years working in a neuroimaging research lab at the University of California, San Francisco before deciding to enter the medical field. He matriculated into the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in 2014. During his time as a medical student, he held a variety of leadership and volunteer roles, completed and presented award-winning research at national conferences, and received numerous scholarships. In 2018, he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree, graduating near the top of his class.

Dr. Kriger then completed his internship and residency training at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA, which provided a diverse and robust experience in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. He concluded his training by serving as a chief resident at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, CA, spending the year focused primarily on the treatment of lower extremity trauma, reconstructive surgery, and limb salvage.

He takes tremendous pride in being a dedicated provider and strives to continue serving his community by providing excellent, compassionate medical care.
