Dr. Nik Patel has over 18 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologist. He was trained at the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York, where he stayed back as faculty and within two years, became one of the youngest in the country to be named as “Chief of Interventional Radiology” overseeing the entire section consisting of eight faculty members, four fellows, and rotating residents.

He was instrumental in starting a liver and biliary intervention program in affiliation with the liver transplant team. During his tenure at the university, he has published many research papers and has written a textbook titled “Interventional Radiology Secrets”. After leaving the university practice, Dr. Patel started a specialized Interventional Radiology private practice in New York for eight years and was named among the “New York Top Docs” for three consecutive years.

He then moved to the west coast in Phoenix, Arizona, to be closer to his family. He joined an outpatient private practice group that super-specialized in performing exclusively peripheral artery disease (PAD) work for three years. During that time, he has completed over 3,000 PAD procedures, pioneered new techniques, and was involved in training many physicians who are now practicing PAD work all over the country.

Dr. Patel has now started his own practice in Southern California where he grew up, focusing on a few select procedures, such as procedures to treat PAD, Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), uterine fibroids, hemorrhoids, and osteoarthritis of the knee through minimally invasive techniques that are done in a same-day outpatient setting to improve patient care. Dr. Patel is also a co-founder of “NANA Trust” in India, which provides free vascular care to the under-served population.
