Dr. Basma Al Nahlawi is a board-certified Rheumatologist. Dr. Al Nahlawi is a compassionate and caring physician. She followed her calling in the field of Rheumatology after graduating from her Internal Medicine Residency by joining Neuropsychiatric Lupus Research at the University of Washington in Seattle, after which she joined the Louisiana State University Rheumatology Fellowship program.

She has a special interest in osteoporosis, lupus, and other mixed connective tissue diseases as well as rheumatoid arthritis, gout and psoriatic arthritis. Dr. Al Nahlawi has extra training in performing diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections.
