  Dr. Makani studied at the University of Pune, India and the University of California, San Diego majoring in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. He specializes in interventional pulmonology, complex central airways disease, lung cancer thoracic oncology and pleural diseases.     

Dr. Shin received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and then completed both her internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center.
